Cerrado in Brazil produces around 55 million bags of green coffee beans per year, which translates to 3.3 billion kilograms (kg). This region’s biome is characterized by its enormous ranges of plant and animal biodiversity. Moreover, they are known to have one of the richest of all tropical savanna regions. The region also has a relatively flat topography, which makes it a brilliant place for coffee growing. Hence, having plateaus also mechanical harvesting possible for farmers.
